By signing up below, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the following policies.
- Attendance: Wild Wonder is designed as a year-long enrichment program for homeschoolers where each child's enrollment reserves one of our limited spaces. By enrolling, I understand: My child's enrollment reserves a spot for the entire school year. Tuition is based on annual enrollment and not attendance. Missed classes cannot be refunded, credited, or made up. I understand that withdrawing my child does not release me from my financial commitment unless approved by Sonshine Schoolhouse.
- Tuition: I understand and agree: Monthly tuition is $165 per month for 9 months. Annual supply fee is $50. Tuition payments are non-refundable. Payments are due on the agreed-upon due date each month. Late payments may result in late fees and/or suspension from the program until the account is current. Repeated late payments may result in dismissal from the program.
- Outdoor Learning: Wild Wonder is an outdoor, nature-based program. I understand my child will participate in activities including, but not limited to: Gardening, Nature hikes, Worm farming, Caring for insects and small creatures, Water play, Digging in soil, Nature journaling, Outdoor exploration, Seasonal weather activities. Children may become dirty, wet, or muddy during normal participation. I agree to send my child dressed appropriately for outdoor play.
- Health Policy: Please do not bring your child if they have: Fever within the last 24 hours, Vomiting or diarrhea within the last 24 hours, Contagious illness, Unexplained rash, Any condition that may place other children at risk. If your child becomes ill during class, you will be contacted and expected to arrange prompt pickup.
- Behavior & Discipline Policy: Wild Wonder strives to create a safe, peaceful, Christ-centered learning environment. Positive guidance techniques will always be used, including: Redirection, Gentle reminders, Natural consequences, Encouragement, Age-appropriate conflict resolution. Unsafe behaviors including, but not limited to: Hitting, Biting, Kicking, Intentional destruction of property, Running away from the group, Repeated defiance that jeopardizes safety will be addressed immediately. If behavior becomes disruptive or unsafe: Parents will be informed. A behavior improvement plan may be implemented. Continued unsafe or disruptive behavior may result in dismissal from the program if it compromises the safety or learning environment for others.
- Parent Expectations: Parents agree to: Arrive on time for drop-off and pick-up. A $30 late fee per half hour will be charged for late pickup. Ensure emergency contacts remain current. Notify Mrs. Carrie of any medical or behavioral changes. Communicate respectfully with staff and other families. Support the Christ-centered values of Sonshine Schoolhouse.
- Liability: I understand participation in outdoor and nature-based activities involves inherent risks including but not limited to: Falls, Uneven terrain, Insect bites or stings, Exposure to weather, Contact with plants, Minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises, Interaction with natural materials and small animals. I voluntarily assume these risks on behalf of my child. I release and hold harmless Sonshine Schoolhouse, Wild Wonder with Mrs. Carrie, its owners, employees, volunteers, and representatives from liability for injuries or damages arising from ordinary participation in program activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
